Luke 17:5-10 ESV

1. Supernatural Faith: Is given by the LORD

Luke 17:5 ESV
“The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”

Luke 17:6a ESV
And the Lord said, “If you had faith….

Luke 17:6a ESV
“If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, (then) you could say…

Luke 17:6 ESV
And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.

Mark 11:24 ESV
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

2. Supernatural faith: Says what God says

Luke 17:6 ESV
And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.

Luke 17:6 ESV
“you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.”

Luke 17:6 ESV
“you could say to this mulberry tree…‘

Luke 17:6 ESV
“you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.”

3. Supernatural Faith: is connected to serving

Luke 17:7-9 ESV
“Will any one of you who has a servant plowing or keeping sheep say to him when he has come in from the field, ‘Come at once and recline at table’? Will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare supper for me, and dress properly, and serve me while I eat and drink, and afterward you will eat and drink’? Does he thank the servant because he did what was commanded?

Luke 17:10 ESV
So you also, when you have done all that you were commanded, say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done what was our duty.’”
