The Most Significant Supernatural Entities from the 13th Century You'd Never Want To Meet
In 1307, one of the accusations leveled by Philip IV of France against the Knights Templar, in an effort to lay his hands on their enormous wealth, was that they worshiped an image in the form of a human skull named Baphomet. Another dark supernatural figure was 'Death' himself. The Grim Reaper seems to have appeared in Europe during the 14th century. It was during this time that Europe was dealing with what was then the world’s worst pandemic, the Black Death, believed to be the result of the plague. These two devilish entities are still very much prominent in modern times, both seemingly gifted with supernatural powers. In either case, I'm sure you wouldn't want to meet them.
